The role
Supabase is hiring an Auth engineer to build and maintain features in its Go server and TypeScript client libraries. You'll cover OAuth, OIDC and SAML, plus reliability and database migrations across a large Postgres fleet.
What you'll do
- Design secure, scalable auth features in Go and TypeScript
- Extend Auth for OAuth, OIDC, SAML and other protocols
- Own performance, reliability and scalability of the Auth server
- Plan safe database migrations across a large Postgres fleet
- Write and review RFCs and support developers on GitHub and Discord

Must-haves
- 4+ years shipping Go in production
- 2+ years working on an authentication system
- Strong relational database experience (Postgres or MySQL)
- Strong TypeScript and web fundamentals (cookies, sessions, JWT, HTTP)
- Kubernetes and AWS experience, plus observability tooling
Nice to have
- Postgres experience
- Experience across Next.js and frameworks like Rails, Django or Laravel
- Good technical writing skills for the RFC process
