The role
Supabase needs an Engineering Manager to lead its Billing team, which owns subscriptions, usage-based billing, invoicing and payments. You'll own people, roadmap and incident response, not production code.
What you'll do
- Build and coach a remote, globally distributed billing engineering team
- Own the hiring plan and act as hiring manager for the team
- Own the Billing roadmap and delivery in Linear
- Balance new pricing capabilities against correctness and technical debt
- Train as an Incident Commander and lead blameless post-incident reviews

- 5+ years of engineering background
- 3+ years managing remote engineering teams
- Experience managing a billing engineering team at a cloud, SaaS or dev tools company
- Experience with Stripe, Orb or similar billing providers
- Strong written, async-first communication
