The role
Zapier is hiring a senior engineer to raise the security bar across its production environments, working with platform and engineering teams. You'll own defined initiatives in IaC, CI/CD security and data governance.
What you'll do
- Find and fix security gaps in infrastructure to reduce risk
- Apply secure-by-default designs across data, endpoints and tools
- Improve Terraform configurations for security and reliability
- Operate tools that track misconfigurations and vulnerabilities
- Handle incidents from detection through to prevention

Must-haves
- Hands-on SaaS cloud security experience, including AWS
- Compliance work with SOC2, HIPAA/HITRUST, AWS FTR or ISO 27001
- Proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation, Kubernetes
- Python, Go or JavaScript skills
- Strong async communication in a fully remote team
Nice to have
- Experience with CSPM tools such as Wiz
- Data governance experience, such as column tagging or inline sanitization
