The role
TRM Labs is hiring a senior data engineer to design the data models and services that analyze blockchain activity at petabyte scale. You'll work with data scientists, backend engineers and product managers on features across dozens of blockchains.
What you'll do
- Build scalable features that integrate with dozens of blockchains
- Design data models for sub-second querying of blockchain data
- Partner with data scientists, backend engineers and PMs on new data models
- Translate customer needs into scalable data solutions
- Write clear design docs and mentor teammates

- 5+ years in scalable API and distributed system development
- Strong Python plus SQL or SparkSQL
- Experience with BigQuery and Postgres
- Orchestration and streaming tools such as Airflow, dbt, Spark, Kafka, Flink
- Cloud deployment with Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, Datadog
Nice to have
- Experience with LLMs or AI-powered workflows
