The role
Volta needs a design authority for civil, structural and architectural engineering across its AI factories in EMEA and the Americas. You'll own the standards, then build the team as the pipeline grows.
What you'll do
- Act as design authority for CSA across every AI factory in EMEA and AMER
- Develop and maintain CSA design standards and basis of design documents
- Provide CSA input to Volta's Reference Design and live projects
- Lead design reviews, geotechnical input and technical assurance
- Build and mentor the CSA engineering team and direct external design partners
What they're looking for
Must-haves
- Significant data centre or mission critical CSA engineering experience
- Deep expertise in civil, structural or architectural design, with working knowledge of all three
- Track record writing CSA standards or reference designs for large data centre developers
- Experience with high density, liquid cooled AI and HPC facilities
- Knowledge of Eurocodes, International Building Code, ASCE 7 and fire and life safety
Nice to have
- Chartered or professional status (CEng, PE, SE or registered architect)
- Degree in civil or structural engineering or architecture
