The role
Supabase's Container Engineering team runs the internal Kubernetes platform behind its multi-tenant, multi-region services. You'll build the automation, controllers and SLO practice that make it reliable and cheap to operate.
What you'll do
- Define SLIs, SLOs and error-budget policies that gate platform changes
- Build platform controllers, operators and internal tooling in production code
- Design CI/CD and rollout primitives for faster platform deployments
- Lead blameless postmortems and push through systemic fixes
- Cut infrastructure cost and operational toil through architecture and automation
What they're looking for
Must-haves
- 5+ years in platform engineering, Kubernetes operations or SRE, with on-call
- Deep strength in tooling, software engineering or SRE practice
- Production code in Go or a comparable systems language
- AWS and infrastructure-as-code experience (Pulumi preferred)
- Experience with multi-tenant isolation, from namespaces to VM-class runtimes
Nice to have
- Built and run a multi-tenant Kubernetes platform for internal teams
- Kyverno, OPA/Gatekeeper or OpenCost/Kubecost experience
- OpenTelemetry, Prometheus or Grafana familiarity
