What you'll do
- Build and evolve the Python SDK with natural sync and async APIs
- Own the typing experience so autocomplete and static analysis stay correct
- Triage issues, review outside contributions and keep CI and releases healthy
- Keep the SDK in step with auth, realtime, storage and functions changes
- Write RFCs, migration guides, release notes and docs in public
What they're looking for
Must-haves
- Deep modern Python typing: generics, protocols, overloads, strict checking
- Authored or maintained a published library with outside users
- Open-source maintainer experience: triage, PR review, semver, releases
- Fluent in asyncio and sync/async library design
- Python packaging know-how and a habit of testing every fix
Nice to have
- Run a major-version migration for a public package
- Knowledge of JWT/OAuth
- Built integrations for AI agent frameworks or generated clients from a schema
