The role
Janea Systems needs a senior data engineer to build and run the pipelines behind analytics, reporting and product features. You'll own data quality and reliability on a consulting team serving Fortune 500 clients.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines from internal and external sources
- Develop data models and schemas for analytics, reporting and applications
- Monitor pipeline health and troubleshoot data quality issues
- Add alerting and observability to production data systems
- Improve performance, scalability and cost-efficiency of data infrastructure

- 4+ years in data engineering or a closely related field
- Strong SQL
- Strong Python, Scala or Java
- Production ETL/ELT pipeline experience
- Cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) and modern data warehousing tools

- Kafka or Kinesis streaming experience
