The role
Midnight needs a hands-on DevOps engineer to run and automate validator nodes across multi-cloud and bare-metal setups. You'll help move the network from federated to fully decentralised validation.
What you'll do
- Keep blockchain infrastructure available, targeting 99.99% uptime
- Manage and automate Cardano and Midnight validator nodes
- Join the on-call rota and write blameless post-mortems
- Build secure CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
- Build telemetry tooling and dashboards for remote monitoring
What they're looking for
Must-haves
- 3+ years in DevOps, SRE or infrastructure, 1+ year with blockchain
- Experience managing blockchain nodes or validator infrastructure
- Strong Linux administration, containers and Kubernetes
- Grafana, Prometheus or similar observability tools
- Terraform or OpenTofu, plus shell scripting and Rust, Go or Python
Nice to have
- Cardano stake pool, partner chain or validator experience
- GitOps and Nix
- Work in a small, fast-moving technology company
