The role
Canonical is hiring its first internal auditor to set up audit processes across several corporate entities, reporting to the CFO and the Audit committee. You'll design the framework and run the full audit cycle.
What you'll do
- Build audit templates, risk registers and reporting cadences
- Run the full audit cycle from planning to control testing
- Evaluate global policies and fix gaps with process owners
- Deliver risk and controls insights to senior leadership
- Monitor remediation of audit findings through to closure
What they're looking for
Must-haves
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Prior experience in an internal audit function
- Degree in business, finance, economics, technology or a quantitative field
- Strong academic record from high school and university
- Professional written and spoken English with strong presentation skills
Nice to have
- Leadership ability
- Software or tech industry experience
- Public company finance and reporting experience
