The role
Supabase needs a hands-on engineer to own the data behind its cloud cost work, from dbt models and pipelines to cost-vs-revenue marts. You'll find savings across AWS and GCP and automate the policies that keep spend in check.
What you'll do
- Find and ship AWS and GCP savings through to a realized dollar figure
- Build BigQuery and dbt models from billing and usage data into reconciled marts
- Model unit economics and margin by product line and customer segment
- Build forecasting and anomaly detection for cost and usage data
- Automate cost reporting, alerting and policy with Python, Terraform and Lambda

Must-haves
- Strong AWS expertise and working GCP knowledge, including pricing and billing
- dbt, BigQuery or similar, and SQL at scale with analytics data modeling
- Data science basics: forecasting, anomaly detection, experimentation
- Python, Terraform or Pulumi, Lambda or Bash scripting
- Clear communication of cost data to technical and non-technical audiences
Nice to have
- Cloud cost platform experience such as CloudZero or Vantage
- Experience with Cost Explorer, CUR and GCP Billing Reports
- Familiarity with Hex, Linear and Notion
