The role
Supabase's Compute Capacity team needs a platform engineer to turn the capacity plan into provisioned reality across regions. You'll build the automation, metrics and alerting that surface shortages months out.
What you'll do
- Build automation for reservation acquisition, top-up and fleet reconciliation
- Detect drift between committed and running capacity
- Build capacity metrics and alerting that flag problems months ahead
- Model headroom targets and their cost tradeoffs for review
- Cut compute cost per database through right-sizing and commitment coverage
What they're looking for
- 5+ years in infrastructure, SRE, platform or capacity engineering
- Production software experience in TypeScript, Python or Go
- Infrastructure as Code with Pulumi or Terraform
- Observability experience, such as Prometheus/Grafana or CloudWatch
- Solid AWS EC2 knowledge: reservations, purchase options and quotas
