The role
Canonical needs an Engineering Director to lead its Business Data unit: three engineering teams covering Salesforce and NetSuite, a data lake and system integrations. You'll manage engineering managers and own the product roadmaps.

- Lead three engineering teams, from graduates to seniors
- Develop your engineering managers and Canonical culture in their teams
- Own the product development roadmaps for the Business Data teams
- Set performance goals and track team health indicators
- Hire new engineers and work with stakeholders and product users

- Proven record driving multiple or large software engineering teams
- Engineering experience in CRM/ERP, Python, data engineering/governance or integrations
- Technical undergraduate degree, or a compelling alternative path
- Professional written and spoken English with strong presentation skills
- Able to travel internationally twice a year, up to two weeks
Nice to have
- Performance engineering and DevOps/SRE experience
- Experience with compliance
