The role
You'll join Supabase's Cloud Engineering team to shape how engineers build and run infrastructure safely across AWS and GCP. The work spans governance, IaC, security primitives and hands-on operations.
What you'll do
- Design cloud governance across AWS and GCP: identity, accounts, access controls, guardrails
- Build reusable IaC building blocks for safe, consistent provisioning
- Create self-service tools that let engineers move faster within boundaries
- Build security and network primitives: secrets, KMS, mTLS, DNS, IP management
- Document best practices and own what you build, from deploy to on-call
What they're looking for
Must-haves
- 5+ years in cloud governance, platform engineering or operations
- Run production systems at scale and carried on-call
- Deep in tooling, software engineering or operations, ideally two
- Routine IaC use in production, with solid AWS IAM/SSO knowledge and working GCP
- Clear communication in async, globally distributed teams
Nice to have
- Led a major migration, such as restructuring AWS accounts or centralizing SSO
- Production code in Go, Rust or a similar systems language
- Worked with auditors on compliance requirements
