The role
Supabase is hiring one of the first members of a new performance team to own benchmarking, profiling and regression detection across its Postgres platform. You'll build the tooling and methodology that product teams use to measure performance.
What you'll do
- Build benchmarking, profiling and load-testing tooling
- Define benchmark suites that reflect real customer workloads
- Set performance baselines and regression gates across products
- Build triage workflows that turn results into reproducible reports
- Work with database teams to find bottlenecks and land improvements

- Past ownership of benchmarking systems where reproducibility and variance mattered
- Strong systems intuition across databases, storage, networking and cloud
- Depth in Linux kernel internals or database internals
