The role
TRM Labs is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to design mission-critical data services that analyze blockchain transactions at petabyte scale. You'll work with data scientists, backend engineers and product managers.
What you'll do
- Build scalable features that integrate with dozens of blockchains
- Design data models for sub-second querying of blockchain data
- Partner with data scientists, engineers and PMs on new data models
- Turn customer needs into scalable data solutions
- Write clear design docs and mentor engineers

Must-haves
- 5+ years architecting scalable APIs and distributed systems
- Strong Python and SQL or SparkSQL
- Experience with BigQuery and Postgres
- Airflow, DBT, and streaming tools such as Spark, Kafka, Flink
- Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes and Datadog in public cloud
Nice to have
- Experience with LLMs or AI-powered workflows
- Prior ownership of 0-1 data systems
