The role
Circle needs a hands-on lead engineer to run its Analytics and Member Growth team. You'll write code daily, set technical direction and coach a small team of tenured engineers.
What you'll do
- Lead and coach engineers across Analytics and Member Growth while shipping code daily
- Own the architecture for analytics, ClickHouse infrastructure and LLM-powered data Q&A
- Own the Member Growth roadmap for onboarding, activation and reducing friction
- Design and oversee A/B tests that improve activation and retention
- Hire, mentor and develop engineers, including performance and career processes
What they're looking for
Must-haves
- Prior experience leading or managing engineering teams
- 7+ years shipping production software on complex web applications
- Ruby on Rails, MySQL/PostgreSQL, ReactJS and TypeScript
- Track record in data/analytics infrastructure or growth product engineering
- Written and spoken English at CEFR C2 or equivalent
Nice to have
- Experience shipping LLM-powered features such as natural-language data Q&A
- Familiarity with billing or payments tools like Stripe
- Experience in a growth-oriented or PLG engineering organization
